Kirsty Cooks For Charity At Mithas

Broadcaster Kirsty Wark is stepping into the award winning kitchen on Sunday June 24th to put her stamp on Indian fine dining.

All profits from the night go to support the rebuilding of St Columba’s Hospice.

The Newsnight presenter was a contestant on the last series of Celebrity Masterchef and as part of the competition, Kirsty cooked in a top Indian restaurant in London.

She then prepared an Indian style dish for judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode which helped take her through to the final where she came runner up.

Afterwards she revealed she had registered the domain name ‘Kirsty’s Kitchen’ with a view to opening her own restaurant.

“I don’t know exactly what I’ll do with it yet but it could be fun”, she said at the time.

Kirsty @ Mithas is the latest in a series of guest chef nights which have included Nick Nairn, Roy Brett and Cyrus Todiwala.

“Kirsty is the first amateur chef to join us for a night but she has ambition and real skill so we can’t wait to see what she delivers with all the spices and techniques of the Mithas kitchen at her disposal”, said Mithas owner Islam Mohammed.
